SEC–BENCH
Energy supply planning for municipalities is the first and important step towards sustainable Energy management.
The SEC-BENCH project demonstrated indicators to assess and compare effects of energy plans for towns and municipalities and monitoring their implementation. Towns and cities who define objectives and monitor their approaching would be able to compare them to set of indicators (benchmarking) that will make it possible to evaluate own activities, position against the background of other cities and fulfilment of commitments obligatory for the EU members. The Polish partner-cities to the project were: Częstochowa, Katowice, Bielsko Biała.
The project lasted from November 2007 and took 30 months. Financing was obtained from Intelligent Energy Europe.
