COOLREGION

COOLREGION comprises energy efficient cooling and air conditioning in the regions of Central and Northern Europe. The project was a reaction to continuously growing energy demand for air conditioning and cooling in buildings across Europe. The main objective of this project was to disseminate information on available technologies and methods of mitigating energy demand for these purposes. In the scope of this project some information materials have been issued addressing local authorities and decision makers, managers of public service buildings, energy agencies, architects and construction employees as well as building owners.

The project was carried out by specialists in the area of power engineering, air conditioning and cooling as well as passive buildings construction and by environmentally oriented NGOs. The project was completed in April 2009 and was financed from Intelligent Energy Europe.
