    In the Programmatic Pronouncement the Foundation activity during past ten years period is presented. The most important FEWE's achievements as well as directions of further development are described. The publication is also illustrated with diagrams showing correlation between economic development in Poland and Worldwide as well as its influence on environment (emission of pollutants caused by energy production).

  2. "Energy Policy of European Union. Guidebook (Legal state on 15 October 2000). Polish Foundation for Energy Efficiency" Katowice 2000

    This publication was prepared and edited thanks to financial assistance of European Union (Phare). It includes the legal regulations on energy policy in European as well as the proper Polish ones, especially regarding the communities (gminas). The structure of the guidebook allows comparing detailed legal regulations, institutions responsible for energy policy performance as well as financial instruments, both in European Union and Poland. In this context, it is shown how the practical problems have been carried out in EU and how they affect the basic state administrative unit - community (gmina).

    This publication is a guidebook. Large information about assistance programs of European Union and domestic institutions disposing financial sources for energy efficiency measures was included. The bibliography of more important items, including the list of EU Directives regarding the energy sector is also included. The publication was printed in 2600 copies and sent to all Polish gminas. The electronic version is download available (in Polish).

    This guidebook was prepared by Polish Foundation for Energy Efficiency in Katowice within the project "Energy Planning for Small and Medium Polish Municipalities" financed by German Consulting Firm Beratende Ingeniuere GERTEC (Essen) and Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Economy in Katowice, in close cooperation with GERTEC as well as Silesian towns: Lubliniec, Miasteczko ¦laskie and Rydultowy.

    The guidebook summarizes experiences from working out the draft guidelines of heat, electricity and gas fuels supply for three selected towns in Silesian Voivodeship (Lubliniec, Miasteczko ¦l±skie and Rydułtowy). Other experiences from energy planning in different towns, both Polish (from FEWE activity) and German were used as well.

    The guidebook shows:

    • general problems such as using energy plan as a tool for energy management in gmina,
    • energy actors on local energy market into energy planning process,
    • the method for drafting guidelines and energy planing,
    • guidelines and plan legislation paths,
    • ways of implementation and monitoring of guidelines and plan.

    Annexes include selected regulations from Energy Law Act regarding the gminas obligations on local energy planning, references etc.

  4. 7th Pump Users Forum. Katowice - Miedzyzdroje 2001

    The 7th Forum, focused to pump selection and operation, introduces the LCC concept. The idea of LCC brings reasonable selection of pumps, subassemblies e.g. sealings, drives, control devices, etc., as well as solutions of pumping in very specific circumstances like dewatering of mines, which are being closed down. All these are presented in lectures.

    Representative of FEWE has presented paper "New energy efficient drives for pump system". Also information about the Polish Efficient Motor Programme PEMP has been presented presented.
